Vets in Norwich

All Creatures Healthcare based in Horsford (just a few miles outside of Norwich) have been a real find for me and my pigs. They are one of only a few practices in Norfolk who have staff that have experience (and the qualifications) to deal with exotic animals.
One of my girls went in for an operation last year and they took fantastic care of her. With some vets you can sense the "it's only a guinea pig" vibe, but not with them, they treated her like the special little lady she is!

Was with chaplfield, there was one of the young lady vets at the Costessey branch was great with Beans last year, and i was touched when she rang me two days later to see how he was (he had passed away). The emergency vet from the long stratton branch i spoke to on saturday was less than helpful though and took the 'not much we can do, its only a guinea pig' view.
I have sent am email (am in germany) to Allcreatures to see if they can do BrownPigs operation, as they seem to have better op facilities for piggies than most standard vets. And they indicate they have a separate recovery area, whoich is a good idea, as i imagine a pig would be terrified coming around from GA surrounded by howling dogs!

All Creatures in Horsford have been operating on the rescue piggies here for a long while and they have performed surgeries successfully on guineas that I have not seen other vets manage and they are the only vets I would use for surgeries. We have never had any post op complications with castrates and they operated on a 2 week old piggy with an umbilicle hernia and he pulled thorugh just fine feeding from mum an hour later 
He is now 3 years old and still doing well They also did the cystotomy on Fanny Adams (there is a thread on here somewhere) who had severe bladder problems and they were very supportive in her care.
Can't recommend Louise, Sally, Amber and the rest of the team enough they have wonderful facilities and a wonderful attitude towards animals and their owners.
