Hello,

I know there's a vet locator at the top but the closest one is Alfreton which is too far for me at the moment, I was wondering if there was anyone from Nottingham had found a guinea pig savvy surgery? I won't go to vet 4 pets or the vet for reasons I won't go into on a public forum.

thanks in advance

I would try to get Caroline at Priory vets in Beeston, she was very pro-active and knowledgeable when treating my guinea pigs and she obviously cares for them and values them as animals too.

Thanks @sport_billy for the tagging and thanks very much for the suggestion @Goth Mummy I was looking and their site today. Do you happen to know how much they charge for nail clippings and consultations for guinea's? Beeston isn't too far, we're in Bilborough.

Oh, Bilborough isnt far at all, I used to work at the college there.
I dont know what they charge for consultations to be honest as i have always had to go in an emergency in which case I have not really cared about the cost. However I know that Priory do have guinea pig clinic (teeth/nails and general health check etc) run by one of the nurses who is particularly into rabbits and guinea pigs.

Awesome, that's great thank you :) I'll have to give them a call, I tried emailing previously because I'm useless on the phone (social anxiety) but never got a response.

Ah, they are really nice, dont worry, just ring them :) They are always so lovely to me even though I'm usually a complete stresshead when I go in with a poorly piggie!

That's the same as me, but my son usually takes them to the vets as I don't really go out. I'm looking for a different vet because I've tried two previously and they let two of our guinea's down, we ended up having them pts, I'm still not feeling well since we had to have Sheamus pts a couple of weeks ago :/ I just want someone who is going to take us seriously when/if one of the guinea's are ill.

I am sure that Caroline will take you seriously and try everything for your piggies if that is what you want.
