No, she is likely just a bit cold with her wet coat and/or somewhat frightened. If you can heat a snugglesafe for about half the maximum time to help keep her warm and relax her.

Yeah, this happens every time my piggies are bathed. I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about, just as long as you keep her warm and make sure she is fully dry before returning her back to her cage.

Also, guinea pigs tend to sit still frozen when in shock without moving

Thanks everyone I think she was cold. I wrapped her up and she stopped shaking and then peed on me! I put her back in cage I thought she was dry and warm. But I've got her out again as she feels cold again. I'm heating up the snuggle pad. Her fur is so thick it's taking ages to be bone dry.

Aw got the shivers! I've only bathed piggies twice and had the same reaction, plenty of warm cuddles always helps too :))

We love pebbles lots but long hair piggys r a bit of a faff. I can't believe the fur, it grows like crazy and it's sooooooo thick. I have to trim it All the time to stop it getting disgusting. She used to b really good and let me cut her hair. Now even with her face in a bowl of coriander she's like bucking bill and squealing I'm worried she's going to have a heart attack. But I've got to keep on top of it, anyone got any suggestions how to deal with trimming? Yours very frazzled long haired piggy owner.

You could try some calming stuff? Pet remedy is pretty good stuff, I've used it for my cat and all my piggies. You can spray your top prior to the horror show that is trimming XD

Some piggies are just super dramatic, I'm sure she's not scared. Maybe just doesn't like her piggy butt being touched :))
