Hey! Every morning I give my boys their vitamin c tablets and Neil has always been picky but still ate it! Recently however, he will not even nibble on it or put it in his mouth. He smells it and runs away, I bought the child life liquid vitamin c to try that instead but it won’t get here until Tuesday. I’ll keep trying to give Neil his vitamin c throughout the day but for the past 2 days he just refuses. Any recommendations while I’m still waiting for the new vitamin c? I don’t want him to go like 5 days without it. It’s been 2 days since he’s refused to eat it.

Guinea pigs really dont need vitamin C supplements if they are getting a healthy balanced diet, in fact overloading them with it can affect how they metabolise natural dietary levels of vit C in future. Red peppers and coriander/cilantro, also fresh grass, other fresh veg, even hay to some extent, can quite easily meet their vit C needs.
Have you seen the forum diet guide?

They don't need vit c supplements if they are having a good balanced diet. The only time you need to supplement it is if they are ill and under a vets guidance.

Diet thread above for recommendations. Pellets, hay and grass contain vit c as well as veg.

Thank you so much! I was under the impression I had to feed them veggies for vitamin c AND a vitamin c supplement. Gosh I feel silly now

Don't feel silly, it's not very long ago that it was recommended to supplement Vit C. Recommendations change over time and in your Country it only changed about 2 years ago, (I've noticed this in youtube videos!) it's hard to keep up with new thinking. It's really good you are doing your research and asking questions.
