Hello all,

Is Wagg Guinea Pig Crunch a good food in your opinions?

I can tell at a glance of the ingredients and protein level what makes a good dog food, but guinea pig food's a different matter.

I would also be interested in an answer to this one so am just bumping.

When I had my three, this was the only dry food they would eat - they loved it.

2 of mine are on this at the mo and they aren't keen! rolleyes

My pigs wont touch this food, I feed mine on Titmuss Guinea Pig Crunch which is suberb value.

15kgs for £8.85 and I dont get any waste. :))

Flash doesn't like it much (i thought he wasn't picky so i picked up a 2kg bag of it) and this results in it being thrown across the cage by himself. rolleyes

Mine wont eat much dried food at all even if i cut their veg back and they get bored of one type of dried...
I had mine on excel piggy food and have just mixed in some super selective piggy food as a change (and to see if they like it as i buy in bulk for the rabbits so i might as well for the piggies and have them on the same make) and they liked the change so I'm changing it...

Is wagg crucnh the one with the different colours and dried things in it? Every animal i have had, unless they have been fed an all in one food, selective pick at their food so i go for the boring looking food with everything in it...

yeah I was wondering about this Jane. What "boring" one do you use.

I feed burgess for my dogs and to not in the know people this would look boring as all the kibbles are the same and no e number (multi coloured bits!)

This is the only food mine will eat, i've tried every pellet & other mueslis & they wouldn't touch them, altho' they did love Wilkinsons own GP food but i wasn't sure wether it was Gertie & switched them. :)

My guinea pigs are all fine with any food we have to offer! There is loads of types, I haven't yet come across one that they don't like!

I used to feed Excel piggy food in the Orange bag (from Pets At Home or other good retailers!) which they ate prefectly happily if they needed too...

I am popping them onto Science Selective piggy food (purple bag) cant get that at P@H though...
I order the rabbits SS food from my small local pet shop in 18kg bag for about £15 so i though i might as well have the pigs on the same make of food...
The rabbits love Science Selective and the piggies dont mind it... they much prefer their veg though so a handful of SS between my 3 last about 2 days... :))
It is more expensive than other pig food but i dont have food wasteage so I'm happy!
edited to say SS has a good earthy smell to it which i love!

I have tried mine on Wagg and basically they just sort through it and toss out of the bowl what they don't want.

I think they prefer Tesco purple bag ... but their absolute favourite (and with no waste! xx>>>) is Science Selective. They love it!
