and he hates it, I do not know what to try him on now, I did have him on Gerty but was told it was not suitable? What do you recommend please remember he is only 22 days old.

Yeah Science Selective if you want to use a pellet food. There isnt anything wrong with Gerty other than its expensive.

I use Spillars Guinea Pig Muesli.

Mine like wagg food but leave the yellow flake things but ALL my piggys are soo fussy you dont understand how many times they change their food and i have just bought today another 15kg bag of food for them to try ::) Theyve tried loads ~ Your piggy must be fussy like my lot ;D

if he likes mixed food rather than pellets maybe try him on the mixed wagg food?

thats what i feed my piggies as they turn their nose up at pellets

Just give it him cut out the sweets(gerty) and give him the greens (pellets) ;) he will get used to it dried food is only 5% of thier diet anyway. :)

I agree with PP....

If you had a choice between eating choccy or broccoli, what would you choose? Dont give him a choice, and he will eat!

Its such a small percent of their diet, he wont be harmed if he picks at it for a couple of days, as he still has his greens.

I really dont think people stick at one food for long enough...a pellet is healthy for him, he will eat it if you leave it there O0 Stick with it! O0

I want to change too, so should I just buy it and give it to them and not put a mix down at the same time?

for the last few days he has taken to sitting in the food bowl with the Wagg Optimum Premium to poo, strange lad, :D

When I first got my pigs I noticed there was a lot of waste as the pigs were selective feeding so I tried them on numerous brands and the only stuff they would totallly scoff was Science Selective. So 10 out of 10 from my lot.
