I give them cucumber, little gem lettuce and green peppers on a daily basis.

What others could I give them?
I tried them with a tiny slice of green apple, and they turned their noses up to it, and they also completely ignored a little carrot stick i gave them.

Open to offers...
going to do my wheeeeekly shop at asda, leaving at 8, so any ideas would be appreciated.

rolleyes:)

The above thread has a list. Mine enjoy sweet peppers, baby corn cobs, spring greens, fresh parsley and basil. They don't always take to a new food straight away so it's worth offering apple and carrot again before you give up.

Thanks :D

Stupid question...corn on the cob, do i literally just put the cob in? and they pick it off?

Guinea pigs have an incredible knack for refusing certain foods over and over again and you think they will never like it but amazingly just when you least expect it they will eat it. So you must never give up trying. This week after a year of trying, they have eaten celery, and a few weeks ago a tiny slice of tomato.
They love melon, but that is kept as a treat, they devour curly cale. Some like grapes but I can't tempt mine. Also mine loved broccoli and cauliflower until recently, now they don't want it. It's amazing how they change! :)p

The key to broader diet is persistence - serve up new foods again and again and again...

What's the deal with parsley? All my boys hate it but it seems a common piggy favourite!

I have a house of basil fiends apart from Hamish who's decided he'd rather have coriander than that nasty basil stuff. You should've seen his wee face when he tried it... I've never seen a guinea screw their face up before!

ours prefer red apples to green! probably because they are sweeter, also we give the leaves on the ouside of corn on the cob, they love that, also brussel sprout leaves,i think we eat healthier now we have five piggies, as always trying new thing s for them and we try it too !
