Wanting another piggy!

Well after getting back off holiday & picking up Reggie from my Aunties earlier this week I have decided I would like to get him a friend :)

My auntie has 3 piggies (mum, dad and a baby girl) And she said while I was away she put Reggies cage near the others so they could bond abit then when I picked him up we sat him with one of them, he seemed ever so happy and excited so now I am thinking he deffo needs a friend.

Been looking at new hutches today and also contacted the rescue that hes from and the lady has some baby boys that she said I could come and see and pair one up with Reggie :)

So watch this space........................ x)
 
How exciting! Sounds like a good plan! I got my boy a friend in June after his pal passed in February, I took him on a date to the potteries guinea pig rescue and its really brought him out of himself.
Good luck I'm sure he'll love it!

I cant wait, I am going to spend the next few days looking at some different homes for him that would be suitable for 2 piggies.
Then will take him along to the rescue for some piggy meeting :) x
 
oh thats lovely! he will be so happy to have a friend, pepper was on his own for a year, but now has a friend, and he is so much happier and livlier, i am so glad i did!

The lady at the rescue said she has alot of baby boys at the moment so once I have sorted Reggie a new bigger cage out I am going to go down and check them out.

I need advice though, when pairing up piggies is it best to stick with the same breed or is it okay to mix them?
Reggie is a tiny boy although he is now 1 year old so I wouldnt want to get a baby piggie that will end up being about 4 times his size lol.

My Aunties 3 piggies are enormous! x
 
Great that you are getting Reggie a friend - and that you are letting him choose who he wants to be with himself! Age or breed are immaterial; the one point that really counts is that they like each other and that their characters complement each other.
