in the cold weather my pigs enjoy a mash made up from potatoe peelings(cook for 5 mins then strain) mix these with bran and porridge oats to make quite a dry mash, mine go mad for it, if you know a horse person see if you can scronge a handfull or 2 of sugerbeet nuts, these need soaking for 24 hours then squeezing out and mixing with bran to make a dry mash, if you want to feed this warm then pour boiling water into the sugar beet then carefully strain and squeeze excess wate rout.
mine all love it.

I would be very careful if feeding sugarbeet as it can swell inside. If you do make it then make sure you use at least 10 parts water to every 1 part sugarbeet (unless the instructions are different, depending on whether it's pellets or flakes), leave it to soak (some flakes only need 10 mins, pellets need 24 hours) and rub between your fingers before feeding to make sure there are no lumps.

I know piggies can eat porridge oats and bran too, but I've never fed it before so can't say how it should be done :)
