Man, the temperature has dropped tonight - I was eating my breakfast in the garden on Saturday!
Our hutch thermometer says 6c outside and 9c in the hutches. Bbrrr.

I made fleecy pigloo covers a while ago but just cut up a fleece blanket into squares and put one inbetween the wood shavings and pigloos, and then another on top of the pigloo cover for super insulation!

One of our boys Macheté (named by my fiancé not me!) squeaked and purred when he went into his pigloo and felt the fleece under his feel - we bed them on wood not fleece.

About 11pm we'll put the Snugglesafe heatpads in their pigloos - snuggly piggies!
Hopefully the extra fleece on top of pigloos and under them will keep some heat in a bit longer - poor boys!

Sounds like you have this well thought out. I'm sure they will love the heat pads.

Its 4 degrees in Nottingham, temperature has really dropped, your piggies will love the snugglesafes :)

Rubbish isn't it. I have a portable radiator in their gazebo atm which raised the temp to 15c...I'm paranoid so checking them every hour. In tempted to look into c&c cages to bring them inside until February but 2 pigs who don't get on means 2 cages :(

It would be good if you can bring them inside as I have heard we are going to be having a colder than average winter. C and C can be stacked or can be done as one big cage with a divider down the middle. You can keep it pretty basic too.

Sounds good with divider thank you, going to Google the weather. Can't believe it's just turned within the past few days!

It may not be as bad as some of the papers are reporting but I am sure I did hear something like that.

I just started putting hay in there hides for warmth (plus if it to cold they just lie there eating hay) I'm also planning on getting a self heating pad from B&M, so there nice and snug
