WARNING - Naturals Parsley Bell

I've not been on for a while but I'm trying to spread this message as wide as possible.

I've had one of these hanging in one of my piggy hutches http://www.petdealz.co.uk/boredom-br...ell-p1856.html

When I went down this afternoon one of my young sows was running round carrying the metal hook it hangs from in her mouth - and then I realised she wasn't actually carrying it, it was hooked inside her mouth and stuck . I managed to get it out ok and she seems fine but it could have been awful. Just a warning to you all - I've emailed the manufacturer and will be letting the store I bought it from know tomorrow too. I'd advise anyone who uses these to remove the hook before giving to your small animals.

i dont hang parsley bells up i remove the hook first then just put it on the floor of the cage. 1) because the first one i ever ought fell of its huuk as i was putting it in the cage, and 2) bob likes to throw it around while he is chewing it

Yep me too, purely because it looked dangerous anyway and they like to move it around.

Thanks for the warning! I actually have one up in their cage just now - I'll remove the hook when I get home, I didn't even think about that. O0

I've always took the hooks out of them and just put them on the floor because it looked dangerous but thanks O0

OMG :o Poor piggie, George & Mildred have got one or rather they did. I've just removed it, will be dismantling it from the hook O0
