So today was the day for Mabel and Dotties first bath! I had my gorgeous guineas shampoo, a towel, and a cuddle pocket all ready on the side!

Mabel was first to have her wash whilst Dottie sat in her cuddle cup watching with interest (and maybe laughing at Mabel! Little did she know it was her turn next!) I must say i wasn't sure how it would go but they were both perfect piggies and didn't struggle or try to escape, they maybe even liked the warm water?! They did get their own back by shaking numerous times and getting me wet!

I didn't take too many pigtures whilst they were in the water as i wanted to get them out and dry but here are some:
Mabel almost lying in the water!

I then switched from the damp towel to another dry blanket (got a bit worried they were getting cold as their little bodies were shaking every once in a while!)

Finally they had some basil for being such good girls!

Awww! What beautiful piggies. Just be careful about getting their faces and ears wet, they can get ear infections from the water...so best to not wet them xx

Awwww, all 8 of mine hate baths even my oldest dog hates baths there's only my puupy and kids that enjoy them lol.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh x)

Ah thanks for the advice Claire, when i wash my dogs i don't normally get their heads wet but the shampoo from gorgeous guineas came with instructions and it specifically said not to forget their heads, side of the face and ears! Wont do it next time, hope they're ok! Have been keeping an eye on them anyhow to make sure they are keeping warm enough. Dottie did a big wee on me and my crochet blanket earlier - she held herself for so long bless her as i was trying to get them dry and keep them warm!

Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed the pigtures! Soggy piggies really are so cute! The girls have had some floor time and are now back in their cage having a munch on fresh hay. They're nearly dry and seem happy enough xx>>>

Just to let those of you know who haven't bathed your piggies yet, best to do it first thing in the morning as they take a very long time to dry (and mine are only short haired!) Wouldn't want them to be damp over night!
