Is it better to have the water bottle high or low?
my piggies like there bottle placed high up and stand on there hind legs to drink is this right?
Or should i place the bottle lower so they stand on all 4 feet to drink?
How do you have yours?

mine like it low, but Bertie is old and doesn't move very well.

Mine have it located low and seem to drink fine. If the water is going down then they probably can get it just perfectly. Make sure the water cap is on tight and not leaking so it is going into the pigs and not the bedding.

mine is low, i have a nero cage and i rest the spout on the second bar up, archie likes to put his feet on his food bowl and then just move his head to the side take a drink then dunk back into the food bowl lol my girls bottle is low too.

I've just got a water bowl at the moment, because both of the new bottles I bought were leaker's. mallethead

Only problem with the bowl is they are constantly knocking food/hay/poops in it so I have to refresh it at least 2-3 times a day.

I have the same problem as Lulie - we just have a bowl too, because my gps wont drink from a bottle :( But the bowl is difficult because they were constantly weeing and pooping in it and dragging food into it, so now we have like a massive silver food bowl attached to the side that we put their water in, and they have to stand up on their back legs to drink otherwise if it's any lower they will wee and poop in it

mine are high up as there drink better from then when there high up

but when there was babies there had them low down

All mine are mounted inside the cages - mainly nero 4's, depending on who it is as to how they reach it, the babies have to stand on back legs but the girls stand on all 4's :)

Mine are as Niki's - high enough for them to have to stretch a bit but not so high for them that they have to reach for the water. It's sitting on the fourth square up on the grids, so about six inches or so from the floor.

About four inches up I think. They all seem to manage fine. but I have often wondered about the positioning.

My boys seem to prefer it a bit higher so they have to stretch (but still with all feet on the floor!) I put it a bit too low once and they soon told me off for it! :))
