Hello, so In the UK it is very hot at the moment. I have multiple water bottles for them, can I put a water bottle in the fridge so it is cold when they have it?
Thanks
Hi, yes they can have cold water, when it gets hotter you can freeze plastic bottles of water and wrap them in a towel or some fleece to keep them cool, although that’s for when the weather is over 20° I don’t think it’s that hot at the moment, we still have the heating on!
Do you mean for them to drink? If so, then I personally wouldn’t give water that has been in the fridge but I do make sure I run the tap in hot weather so the water is cool and that their bottles are refreshed a few times in the day.
As above, you can put bottles of water in the freezer for them to lay near and to help to cool the air around them but I don’t consider it anywhere near hot enough for any of that yet. It was 18 degrees here today and sunny but everybody is going about their business as normal with no adjustments made at this point. Its only really when we are in summer with humidity and temperatures consistently hitting 23/25 and over that you really want to take appropriate measures to keep their room cool etc.
