Hi,

Following my Noob post in the chit chat section, i am delighted to say that my wife and I are now the pround owner of 2 Sows ;D

I wasnt able to get to the SSPCA in Bothwell today as i couldnt get away from work :( however i dispatched my wife an brother and law ( he was to help circumvent the traffic as we were cutting it fine to get their before closing) and they returned with Bella and Trixi.

I have yet to see them yet as they have been hiding in their carry case but i can hear the odd muttering and they have shot out and grabbed the cucumber i placed at the door for them O0

23 years (since i was 5) i have wanted piggies and i will happily wait a wee bit longer for the wee souls to forget their shyness.

congrats on your new arrivals.. you'll be hooked soon and want more 2funny

Ill try a post some pics tomorrow, i took them out of the carry case now and they have shot into their igloo.

Ive had the odd high squeel before i took them out the carry case.

One of them has a rather messy behind so i will need to get hold of her and give her a wipe.

I was interested in these piggies but wouldn't have made it to the centre as my partner couldn't get time off work to take me through.. So glad they have a lovely home cant wait to see pics, the women said they were so gorgeous. Hope they come out for cuddles soon.
xx

Well now there playing hide and seek, i hear them scambling about and the sound of their water bottles clicking........ yet when i see if i can sneak over to see them i see a white flash...... a rustle and their gone, with their chopped cucumber and tomato. :smitten:

Now there getting the resolve to come out and about i'm looking forward to feeding them tomorrow morning.

What ciolors are they? I am happy to say that I found a new pet store nearby who knows all about piggies and I am so excited! Congratulations on your new babes!

Congrats on the new additions :D They sound lovely ;)

It might take a while for them to become confident, but trust me, being patient is soo worth it :smitten:

Thanks,Trixi is a white rough coat i think and Bella has a white body with a brown head. I dont know what genus they are, once i can get photoes posted hopefully someone will tell me. The SSPCA could not guarentee their ages but they thought they were about a year old.

Many congratulations. You have been patient waiting this long ;D

You will never want to be without guineas now :)

Well people this is Bella, she is the least shy so far.

And this is Trixi

Bella seems to be very wet round her rear end. We have given her a wipe with some pet wipes but she seems to keep sitting in her poop when she goes. Also she poops ALOT and she seems to urinate alot, so far i have put this down to nerves although she is certianly not off her food and she drinks a lot too.

Oh congrats they are lovely :smitten: :smitten: It may be that shes just got longish hair so by keeping it trimmed around her bottom may do some difference ;)
