We lost our Guinea pig Honey yesterday, her bonded sister is so sad

Rest in peace my precious sweet lil Honey. You were always so happy, popcorning all the time. You brought us so much joy and happiness. We are so grateful for the time we had with you.Our guinea pig Honey passed away yesterday at the vet after fighting for life over the last 12 days. We are completely heart broken. But her bonded sister seems so confused and depressed. I don't know what to do to help her. She is an extremely independent piggy, she doesn't like to be held much. Everything I read says to get her a friend. I really don't what to do. Any advice to help sunshine would be so helpful.
If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
To bring you home a again

It sounds as if you did everything possible for Honey and your love for her shines through.

Today is not the day to worry about a companion for your bereaved piggy. She is grieving in her own way and will soon get on with the business of survival.
Give the immediate rawness of grief a few days to ease and then begin to think what is best for Honey’s sister.

I am so sorry for your loss and hope you take it easy. Look for a companion once you feel ready to do so. It isn't something you can rush anyway to find the best match.

I found my local rescue supported me with bonding when my last old girl passed away which helped massively during that difficult time (almost like a piggy date with different sows until we found the right fit).
