Weight Loss?

Hi all now I know I'm supposed to weigh my boys once a week but due to major family health problems the last 8 weeks I haven't be weighing them each week, I last weighed my boys on 30th Jan and Dave weighed 1.28kg and Derek weighed 1.48kg so I weighed them today and Dave weighed 1.24kg and Derek weighed 1.45 kg is this ok as I read that any weight loss is a sign if illness, my boys are eating and drinking well and the vets gave them a quick once over today when I got their nails done should I be worried or just monitor their weight more closely over the next week or so x

No, no need to worry! 30g are within the daily weight variance between a full/empty tummy and bladder.

You should go on alert with a loss of over 50g/2 oz and see a vet promptly if your guinea pig has lost 100g/3 oz and as a life and death emergency if a guinea pig has lost 100g in 24 hours - that means it hasn't eatn or drunk at all in that time.
