Hi,

I brought Autumn to the vet today along with my dog to get her nails clipped (I'm too scared to do it by myself) and to check her weight. I have a few questions about this... According to the vet, she said Autumn weighs 2.3 lbs. I was just wondering how much that would be in grams? Since I know how much she weighs now, should I be giving her a certain amount of veggies? Also, I have one more question, is that a healthy weight for a 9 month-old piggie (10 months in July)?

You can't just judge a piggy by its weight because a individual size and a healthy weight can vary massively. the guide helps you work out whether your piggy is a good weight/size ratio ('heft'). It also also contains a weight conversion link.

Here is our diet guide. Please reduce any high sugar/fattening veg like carrots, sweetcorn etc. Long Term Balanced General And Special Needs Guinea Pig Diets
You can find information on the amount of pellets, a sample veg diet and at the end information about 'good' and 'bad' foods and treats.
It is worth aiming for a good and not too rich diet as a good diet can prolong life expectancy for 1-2 years and also ensures that your piggies will be overall healthier and fitter.
