My piggy is a single pig (she is very aggressive towards other pigs) and I always play music and sing while cleaning her cage. I'm a horrible singer, but I don't like quiet! My boyfriend has been known to run to the nearest soundproof room with his hands over his ears! Cali always runs around at top speed while I'm attempting to sing. I find it hilarious! What are weird things you do around your pigs?

I don't consider it weird, but if it makes you feel better my guinea pigs (and mice) are currently listening to some symphonic metal (which I'm occasionally sing I along to). I play music for them most days because being used to sounds and such is a good skill.
I love a bit of symphonic metal, don't think the pigs do but they don't mind a bit of classic rock lol

My pics have to get used all sorts of different sounds in this house because I have folk whistles in different keys I have flutes made a very is materials there also in different keys plus there is the freestanding harps and the 4 15 wire string lap harps
Then there is the screen reader on my iPhone and the screen reader on my laptop that you have to listen to on a regular basis
There isn't many sounds that actually scare them anymore
Which is a good thing

Wow! I can literally vacuum right next to Cali and she doesn't even flinch!

Lol my piggies don't appreciate any sort of metal unfortunately so I have to play it at a ridiculously low volume as to not offend them. It's probably the screaming lyrics they don't like yet Patchy screetching for veggies seems to be ok though lol.

I whistle like a piggie wheeking at mine when I get home from work and shout hiya piggies upstairs to them. Lol.

Mine are outside piggies and I talk to them whenever I go past the run or the hutch (depending where they are). I always talk to them when approaching them so that they know I'm not going to eat them! When I have them out for cuddle time, I am constantly talking to them. They are now used to lorries and cars, dogs barking (My neighbour has 5 dogs and dog sits so sometimes its like living next to kennels), the kids at the school near me playing in the playground. First of all these noises had them running for the hideys!

My son always talks to them like they're people. Totally normal tone of voice, "Hey Hadley, what's up? Hi Leela, how's your day?" I asked him if feels slighted that they never answer. He said he never thought about it, but now has concluded that they are very rude pigs! ;)

Ah, yes. Symphonic and folk metal here, so none of that madness!

I like most metal sub genres actually including folk metal. I like symphonic metal if there is male singers but i'm not a fan of female symphonic metal singers, I dont know why lol.

I'm boring I talk to mine all the time, as they are in the centre of the house so everyone talks to them as they go past.

I wheek at mine too
The funny thing is they answer back

I do both the above. Every morning I walk into the room and say 'morning piggies' in a high pitched voice. They reply with really loud wheeks and whistles which drives my daughter insane.

I constantly talk to them and when they wheek at me I do it back. I love it but do realise I sound like a mad woman. I don't care. It makes me happy and I'm sure they enjoy it as well :D

Oh just remembered something ..... when its veg time I say in a high pitched voice 'din dins guys and gals din dins' The go absolutely crazy popcorning and wheaking exitedly and trying to get out of the hutch to get to the veg first!

I say "Wick Wick!" in a really high pitched tone at veggie time. It drives my boyfriend crazy! He makes fun of the tone I use! He used to try to do it, but gave up! He says it really slow and calm while I say it in a really excited voice. Cali (my single pig; she bullies other pigs) goes crazy. Last night I literally said it in my sleep and she started wheeking at 1 AM! My boyfriend woke me up laughing hysterically.
