Hi its Sparky here, spokesman of the gang (see aviator)

We're all a tad worried :... following a conversation our mummy had with her sister the other day and would like some advice.

I came here at eight months old after my last owners said they didn't want me cos I was a bloke pig, life is good here nice house, nice food, nice pretty much everything-although service, can occasionally be dodgy. At first I lived with Thomas but we parted company after he kicked my head in then along came Prince Harry a wreck of a pig again from a rescue and with mummys help he blossomed and we we happily live together now.

Anyway here's the story, mummy sometimes isn't very well she has poorly lungs and needs lots of medicines to keep going and often has to use a very noisy box to deliver her medicines but she insists its not our fault. Sometimes mummy gets very poorly and has to go to the equivalent of the vets :( sometimes they abduct her and she had to go to a special place called "hospital" and we miss our mummy 8... but she has nice people coming in to look after us.

Our mummy had to go to this place called "hospital" this week she is home now when she came home she rang her sister who though claiming to care about her gave her a really hard time over lots of things grrrr one of which was us. She thinks we are adding to mummies problems though she reassures we are not.

Her sisters advice is that our mummy should get "rid of us" :0mummy insists that there's "no b%%%%y way we're going" its not that we don't trust our mummy but we thought we'd pop on here 8:) and ask for you nice peoples advice :)p.

iv seen it before:( i almost ahd a rabbit to add to my gunies piggies here. Jasmine my sistrers rabbit si 8yrs old:O and lives with my mum , but my mum hgas asthma and copd.. so sadly she wants to beep bunkins but ppl alwase yelling sayign its not her bun give it to me or some 1 else. there ben tiems where shes been in her tavel box waiting for me and iv put her back inh the hutch as moving her would **** be way to stressing and mum would mis her lol. i say dont put out ** piggies jsut put them where ther dont effect ** breathign and find a nice voulenteer , kid or somethign that will clean them for you so * can still see them and talk to them without the agro of cleaning them out as i knwo that the worst part lol , I'm allwergic to dust grass and pollen, so iv swiched to fleece, so its jut the hay that gets me.

I'm sorry to hear this Sparky :(. I would like to say that, if your mummy loves you as much as ours loves us you'll be staying right where you are. By the sounds of it your mummy loves you lots and lots and would never let anything bad happen to you :). My vote is you're staying.
Hope I'm right, I would hate to see you leave the forum :(

ive got 4 sisters and wouldnt listen to any of them if they told me what to do!and none of them approve of my animal hospitality but what the hell does it have to do with them :)

I don't think mummy will get rid of you. But it might help if you gave her an extra special popcorning display to cheer her up when her family is giving her a hard time again!
 
I think mummy will keep you too, our mummy was allergic to us a one point and it was so bad she couldnt ever cuddle us without massive doses of Piriton, but then she got a 'boyfriend' whatever one of them is, anyway it used to cuddle us for mummy so it wasnt too bad.

ps/ we are typing this from the bridge cos we had to leave our mummy earlier this year due to unforseen circumstances, but you know what, for all the people that have had to see their piggles pack up and go to the bridge (and there have been a lot recently), its ace here, you really dont have to worry, we love it and have lots of fun and for somereason we popcorn wayyyyy more than ever?

Anyway world, laters my dinner plate has just rattled xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your lovely messages and votes I know mummy loves us so much she went shopping for us last night despite really struggling and also cleaned our cage out tonight so we are warm and cosy. I was looking at mummy tonight and she said "don't worry sweetheart, there's no way you are going". This is your home and you are staying with me" then gave me a massive cuddle.x) I think my mummy is pretty ace;). We're still a little concerned, though when she came off the phone to them she did say a few "naughty" words in reference to her sister @). Mummy is still not well and the noisy box is still in operation. We don't like to see our mummy ill.

I'm glad your mum said some naughty words, i find they really help, sisters smell of poo! lol

Anyway, sorry mummy is still poorly, send her a hug and kiss from us and be good for her.

I think that your mummy sounds lovely and I wouldn't worry at all about moving house. She sounds like she loves you lots and lots and lots.

We all hope that your mummy starts to feel better very soon and doesn't have to go to the vets again

i hope your mummy is better soon and my daughters noisey box is working hard too, i just hopw she too stays out of hospital, its these nasty bugs going aroundgrrrrgrrrr that makes it worsegrrrr
 
Glad to hear your mommy has decided to keep you! I'm sure it would've lead to so much heart brake if she had to give you up!

Also, tell your mommy that peppermint, chamomile, calendula, juniper, lavender, rose bark, and uva ursi rinses are all good topical treatments that can relieve scratching temporarily
Alfalfa, licorice, and dandelion (which also adds tons of nutrients when added to salads), when eaten, can be used as an anti-inflammatory, so is aloe when applied topically, and can also soothe
Echinacea and garlic are an immune stimulatn and might help reduce symptoms


Ginkgo biloba is great for allergies! It helps reduce inflammator ycausing cells


Some Chinese Herbal Remedies:

Angelica and rehmannia: These tone the body and move blood to relieve rash and itching by extinguishing wind.

Dictamnus: This herb has antifungal action and relieves fire toxicity (excess heat is one of the imbalance TCM identities).

Ganoderma, ginseng, rehmania, licorice, bupleuroum, scute, zizyphi fructus (jujube), and sophora: These are among the more common herbs containing plant steroids that can mimic the action of synthetic corticosteroids. Plant steroids usually have milder actions with minimal side effects compared to synthetic steroidal drugs.

Gardenia: An herb to clear heat, it reduces inflammation and redness, and also has good antibiotic effects.

Licorice: this root is used in TCM and Western herbal therapy. In TCM, it is used to harmonize the body and nourish tendons and muscles.

Moutan, arctium, and lithospermum: These herbs cool and detoxify the blood to decrease itching. Arctium also has good antibiotic effects.

Schizonepeta, cicada, and siler: all are used to relieve wind.

Sophora, clematis, and kochia: These herbs are used to drain dampness and relieve weepy skin lesions.

Tribulus and anemarrhena: these herbs can decrease itching and inflammation.

Thank you again for your lovely words of advice. Mummy is back at the vets again this morning for another check up. She says she is not going to let the abduction squad take her. Its just a check up.

Veggiemuncher, that's all over my head I can only work out were my next carrot, cabbage, cucumber, tomato etc is coming from but I have passed it all on to mummy and she had found it very interesting reading and says thanks.

Clairelove, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter sending get well wheeks from this end, really hope she doesn't get any of these nasty bugs. Thats what mummy got.

We've been chatting over the garden fence and we think you need to remind mummy how good you make her feel when she sees you popcorn and wheeking for food and how a cuddle can make everything seem alright, and that the poo scooping has to be done once a day at the most where as you can have as many cuddles as you like.
We too have been subjected to rude words that make our ears hurt and we now get told to cover our ears when mummy gets cross. I've tried sticking hay in my ears but Hector keeps eating it. You might like to try that when 'sister' calls cause I don't think hoomans eat hay, they have a machine called a hoover that eats it all when it gets on the carpet. You could always give 'sister' some hay and tell her to stick it somewhere if she suggests moving house again.

P.S. We're glad to hear that Thomas doesn't kick your head in anymore.

Blimey! 33 people reckon we'll be staying put. That looks very promising :(|) We are much reassured.

Spike, it is rather wonderful that I don't have to put up with Thomas kicking my head in anymore pow-pow, I didn't know what had hit me that day. One minute I was happily minding me own business and the next I was being booted round my cage, didn't know what had hit me. Mummy thinks that a former piggy sitter may of been partially to blame as she was looking after us and put us in the same room as her lady piggies :red despite mummy asking her not to rolleyes. Sadly Thomas lives alone now, all attempts to find him a pal have failed, he has kicked their heads in too mallethead. Me and Prince Harry are pretty evil to him as well :p as we sit outside his cage and wind him up during floor time, well Prince Harry does, I prefer ripping the wallpaper off :))

I heard mummy talking to her friend about it yesterday and going by what she was saying and the way she was saying it there is no way we are leaving this gaff mummy made it clearly that her sister can stick the idea "where the sun don't shine" so to speak :x Thank you for your advice about the hay, we might well take that idea up.

By the way we all love and admire your photo.

P.S mummy has one of those hoover things, I like to compete with the noise it makes
 
Tommies going to love me for sharing this with you though, he might think he's big and tough but heee heee. HE'S TERRIFIED OF PIPPIN, yup thats right he's scared of the hamster :(|):(|):(|) we think its hilarious.
 
Well Sparky, it's Gertie here, Johnny is scared of Daisy the hamster, and Lola the hamter and also Nibbles the hamster. So they are both wusses.
 
LOL that is a fantastic way to describe them xoxo I love watching Pippin whizzing around in his play ball, looks like he is having so much fun.
 
They do don't they. We have to watch out with Lola though as she likes to try to pull our hair into the ball like she has done with every single pair of Mummy's pyjama trousers.

I think you must live very close to us, maybe next summer we might have one of them pignic things and us guys could hang out (Eddie is alright but a bit of a scaredy thing at times, not tough like me grrr lol)

Yes you do live very close to us and mummy thinks that would be a wonderful idea she always likes meeting other piggies and piggy slaves :)

My mummy knows what a nurse is she is a nurse as well though she is not at work at the minute, she's too poorly to go to work but we are keeping her company here at home.
