as I'm sure you've gathered from the title, Dolce has got a wet bottom , i have NO idea what it is , but Gabana doesn't , neither of my girls have ever had any problems like this before, so i was planning on bathing her on the weekend , with a watered down antiseptic shampoo ( my mum gets this cheap and uses it on her horse watered down 1/4 , so i was going to water it down 1/8 ?) , but would a trip to the vets be in order ? they both have the same amount to eat , but have noticed Dolce drinks alot more, she is a greedy little guinea piggle :)) , just a bit worried, advice will be taken in and used thanks :) x

Does her wee smell stale at all, if it does it could be a UTI infection, which alot of members on here recommend using Septrin to treat. Just check her around her bottom to see that she is not inflammed at all, if she is things are pointing towards it being an infection. Gorgeous guineas sell cream to treat the sores. Is she still eating normally and drinking her usual amounts?

It could be cystitis - does she squeak when she wees? You could try taking a wee sample. I know others might be able to suggest better ways of taking a sample but maybe put her in a bowl and see if she'll pee in there? The other possibility is like some piggies, she might be sitting in her wee. If she's long haired then give her a trim around her bottom so her fur doesn't get in the way :)

No everything is normal , pooing weeing, eating drinking playing , everything , and her skin underneath is fine , but it's just a wet bottom , which i pat dry with clean towel everyday ?

No she's not , American Satin Coated (sp) , and so is Gabana , bur Gabana doesn't have the problem ?

I had the same problem with one of my piggies. She always had a wet bum and there was nothing wrong with her! I think she just used to wee on herself if she was lying down or something. I use woodshavings so it was no good at drawing the wetness away from her. She doesnt do it anymore and she wasnt ill at all throughout it.
Her mother Iris on the other hand has just got cystitis. If you smell anything strange from her, loses weight, Squeaks when she wees or poops, stops eating as much or stops eating completely then take her to the vet.

I just used to give my greta a wash once or twice a week. Also be careful she doesnt get ammonia burns, the cream from pampered piggies that i thinks called perfect paws will help keep the wetness away from the skin. Ive just ordered some for my Iris for her cystitus.

Hope I helped x :)p

Cheers, my mum has a look at it today ( she refused to go out in the dark last nightrolleyes ) and we think it could be her spraying or something to have dominance over gabana ? but thats just a stab in the dark we're going to bath her saturday and I'm going to disinfect their cage more than once a week from now on and see if it makes a difference ?
