So my Haybox delivery was left out in the rain yesterday. It wasnt supposed to arrive until today and I didn't find it until this afternoon as it was left down by the side of my house. Both 5 kilo boxes of hay are wet  the hay inside is damp but not completely soaked. Would anyone know if the hay can be dried and used? Does it go moldy quickly? It smells ok and I can spread it out to dry maybe. Seems like such a waste to throw it out :(

dont use, it will start to go mouldy. I know it a pain but better safe than tummy issues... vets... poorly piggies etc.

Oh dear that's always the worry with Haybox, plastic free is great for the environment and its such tasty hay too but not weatherproof! I rescheduled my delivery for tomorrow as I didnt want it arriving in the torrential rain today!
Have you contacted Haybox to say that you didnt receive the delivery notifications and it was delivered on the wrong day and was ruined? They are a small company that rely on customer satisfaction so are normally very good at investigating issues and sending replacement items?

Thanks, I'll throw it out. Such a waste and the meadow hay looked lovely and green :(

I had rescheduled it to arrive today and they left it there yesterday anyway. I complained to the delivery company and they apologised and said I should contact the sender for replacement. I've emailed haybox now too. Another downside to this awful rainy weather we've been getting!
