Hi,
I'm kind of getting a bit worried about my piggies, uhm. Recently when i have been cleaning them out, they have had quite a few soft poos. (not diarrhoea)I'm wondering if i'm giving them a bit of like a watery diet? Do you guys have any tips to prevent this from continuing?

Thank you xx

Cut out their veggies until poo normal, just hay and pellets then introduce veg slowly to see which ones cause the problem.Good luck

Please take your piggies off any fresh food for a day (just with unlimited hay, pellets and fresh water) until the poos have firmed up again. Then re-introduce veg slowly back into their diet.

- Up to 80% of the daily food intake should be hay; that keeps the guts healthy and the crucial back teeth ground down.
- Veg should make about 10-15% of the daily food intake. We recommend to feed one cup/ca. 50g of mixed fresh veg per piggy per day in as many servings as you like. Please include on high vitamin C veg, like a slice of pepper of any colour, a floret or chunk of stem of broccoli or a prig of fresh coriander/cilantro, parsley, dill, mint or basil every day and vary between them.
Here is a list of what they can eat: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/...veg-and-fruit-list-with-vitamin-c-grading.42/
- Pellets should make about 5-10% of daily food intake. If you don't feed them, up the veg a little bit and add some more fibre to the diet.
-Fresh water without additives daily.

If i cut down in veggies, and I slowly introduce veggies, wouldn't their Vit C level be too low, and they will get poorly?

They still get some vitamin C through their pellets! It doesn't harm them if it is only for a short while - it's the long term lack (or overdosing!) of vitamin C that does the damage. ;)
