we've passed our home visit!

i'm so excited! If all goes well with their op's we'll be getting 2 neutered boyfriends for our girls in a few weeks time! we've been computerless for a few days and i've been dying to share our news! i'm really worrying about their op's tho, poor little babes.

Thank you. I was really worrying about the home visit stupidly! The lady said our girls look lovely healthy and happy pigs! very proud piggy mum i am!
 
Hi, I am meeting Jill to hand them over - boo hoo :'( :'( I will miss their cheeky faces so much. Sean has grown so much since he has been with me. Both are lovely big boys. You will need to take out a second mortgage to keep them in hay - they eat soooooooo much of it :D Promise me you'll put some piccies on when they settled in their new wives - pretty please.
 
of course i will! providing my other half doesnt cut through the phone line again, leaving me with no internet for 5 days! lol! I really cant wait to see them! I promise to keep in touch and put piccies on as often as poss! They have a brand new big cage set up ready for them and the girls are very excited! quite a while before they'll get to see them though! give them a pre-op cuddle from me please!
 
any piccies of where the piggies are gonna be kept for people wanting to rescue later on :)
 
There will be the usual goodbye photo session before they go and lots of cuddles and tears. I love fostering, but the handing over is very hard.
 
It must be really hard. I cant even imagine parting with my girls, you must get very attatched. But I can promise you with all my heart that they'll be loved and pampered for all their days. :smitten:
 
aww thats fab news! i rehomed a piggie yesterday expecting a home check and they said oh no we only do home checks for dogs and cats :o
 
Congrats! I bet your ladies will love their new company.

Thanks all for your replies! I promise we'll get them in a photo session as soon as they've settled in. nervous about how introductions will go but we'll have them for a few weeks before they can meet the girls anyway.

Also maisynpoppy congrats on the new piggie! I guess some places just dont have the time or staff to do home checks for small furries but surely they are just as important or there would be no point rescuing them in the first place...? bizarre. Hope your new little one settles in well :)
 
thanks grommit, i hope yours settle in aswell O0. sometimes i feel that people dont treat piggies or other small animals as they would with cats or dogs :(
