What a busy day!

After playing out in the run Tiger & Amy had a bath and then 3 1/2 piggies had their nails clipped.

Amy was very good and Tiger was his normal squiggly naughty self :)) Tia was really good. They all had veggies and I did in sections this time 2 on one foot then a break for a bit of a stroke then two on another! it worked well on the girls who seemed quite chilled out and not bothered.

George on the other hand was very naughty. He kept pulling his hand away and actually "Nearly" nipped me. He didn't quite nip me as it didn't hurt he just put his teeth around my finger then started agressively teeth chattering loudly at me. So he is only half done I had to put him back in his cage incase he bit me! I'm going to have to go through it all again tomorrow with him now :{
 
Oh dear, sounds just as bad as eli and chestnut except these 2 like to nibble your fingers all the time lol
Why not try giving him something to nibble on while you do his nails

That is a lot **** did half of george's so about 70 nails :)) Luckly he doesn't hold a grudge and will have forgotten already about it so tomorrow I will give him lots of extra juicey veggies whilst i try again. I just can't believe how good the girls were! they didn't seem bothered at all. I thought I've finally cracked it but trust the two boys to be naughty and squirmy! :))

Well done you for achieving so much today - I always feel very satisfied when all piggies have been bathed and nails all trimmed etc.

Ok so I did rest of george's today and he did it again. I don't think he is trying to hurt me as doesn't even nip it like he just gets his teeth around my finger like a warning. I was not in the mood for his messing so I just calmly told him that was naughty and ignored his teeth chattering whilst I finished him off trying to steer clear of his mouth :)) .

I'm worried it could escalate into biting though if he doesn't get his way! I can't help but think I have spoilt him so much he thinks he can get his way all the time! Are piggies even that complex?

Does anyone have any advice for if he does it in the future? Do I just ignore him or do I tell him off?
 
This is getting silly now. I gave Amy and Tiger a paper bag filled with hay yesterday. today Amy decided to sit in it for most of the day. As most of the hay had been eating and she had been weeing in it, she was covered. She has now had a second bath! she only had one yesterday. I swear my piggies are joining together to be nuisances :))

Jeremy would spend his entire life in a paper bag if he could! :)
 
oh my god, as a new guinea pig owner today, i think i will be taking mine to the vets for nail trims!hehe.gemx
