Thank you for this thinging of taken them all to vets as iv not seen any signs of it on pigs or cats sowould it be best still to treat them for it x

As Wiebke says Imaverol is safe, I have known it used on week old pigs. It is gentle but effective. If you order from Hyperdrug it is sold as Enilconazole and you can order for a guinea pig (the Imaverol product page only lets you order for a horse). Enilconazole is the same product though.

I would discuss it with your vet. The incubation period for ringworm is 10-14 days from the time between the infection and it breaking out. A mild fungal shampoo or dip (like imaverol is; it can be used around eyes and mouth where the fungal often sits unlike some other products) should do the trick of preventing the ringworm from breaking out. Not everyone will actually get infected; it often takes a lowered or more fragile immune system as well. But if they have been handled by your son, they could be carrying spores.
