what age do you all seperate baby boars

what age is best to seperate baby boars from there mum, mine are 2 an a half weeks and are 250g and are rumbling and mounting rolleyes
 
3 weeks is the norm I believe.

However, I believe they *can* be removed before this. But I would think that would only be if they were nice and plump, pretty much weaned and really not leaving mum alone as I believe they practise quite alot before they actually can.

I hope someone more experienced will pop along soon, but I know alot of the the rescues, especially suzy, are currently extremely busy.

I'm thinking as they are nearly 3 weeks old and very plump I'm gona seperate them thanks alot x
 
Boys "practise" a short time before they go on live ammo, but if you are in doubt, I would separate. They are a good enough weight and as you have more than one, they won't be on their own.
 
My Rebel was only 2 and a half weeks old when I removed him from mum as he was getting frisky. He was a good weight, I bonded him with my old boar Bart as his hutch mate had died recently, they are now inseperable. ;)
 
i seperated them last night and put them in a cage together they squeeked for mum so i put mum and daughter upstairs and they have settled down, they are goin to live with my auntie in a few weeks as her piggies died and she was goin to go to a pet shop for some more so i decided she could have my boys but dont know how I'm going to part with them 8...
but i know they will be very well looked after ! my auntie is coming to visit them today rolleyes
 
Aww that is so hard. I feel for you. At least you will **** be able to see them.
 
yer i will see them all the time they named them today seb and gus lol:(|)
they really love them so its all good :))
