when i came on before about getting a friend for freddy was told that he would need to be with a baby boy, but am not sure what exactly you class as a baby(as in age wise)?
found out from the vet that freddy is about 2.
I would go for under 6 months although pairings can be successful between adults i've found the younger the newbie the better, My old boar Ella who got his new friend recently showed real paternal qualities when i introduced them he even nudged him towards a carrot however honeymoon is over and he now takes food from Roobs mouth but Roob just goes back to the bowl for more and doesn't grumble.I also think having 2 igloos or hidey holes is a must with boars and lots of space. At the end of the day i think it comes down to personality aswell. Good luck finding a friend for freddy
i have finally found a friend for freddy, he is only 1 week old at the moment but when he is ready to leave home they are going to deliver him 4 me as they have relatived who live down the road from me
like suggested when you get the new one make sure you have two of everything and hidey holes only the little one can fit in and plenty of room for them to roam in. good luck with it. have pm'd some people about the quarentine question.
