I have some syringes, cotton wool pads proc probiotic, vaseline, did have critical care but I used it... need to get more. I also have some eye drops for sensitive eyes for emergency hay pokes to give a bit of relief on way to vets, knit comb, slicker brush, guinea comb, hairdressing scissors, thinning scissors, shampoo, humilac spray for dry skin. Urine test sticks.

just wondering what I am missing as I like to be prepared

I have:
  • Syringes
  • Avipro plus (probiotic)
  • Vitamin C tablets
  • Cystease ( only because 2 of the pigs have bladder probs)
  • Cotton buds
  • Cotton wall pads
  • Nail clippers
  • I did have a stypic pencil for nails cut too far up
  • Brushes/combs
I don't keep critical care in, I use mushed up pellets and find they work equally as well as critical care.

Syringes - a lot
Loxicom
Cystease
Critical care
Hair brush
comb
Nail clippers
Piggy shampoo
Cotton buds
Cotton pads
And something else I can't recall the name of at the moment. It's a medicine.

What a great thread! I currently don't have any kind of kit together. I do have nail clippers and gather together the apropriate cotton wool for cleaning but would be good to have some extra bits and bobs for emergencies. Although I have no idea what would be most apropriate items for a newbie to have as I imagine there are some things that can maybe only be used once shown by a vet (ie syringe feeding?) Anyone any recommendations in such case, also where does one acquire such items!

(Sorry for butting in!)
