As much as I am keen for schools to go back, secondary for my son especially, I also think it's too early, I work in primary school and there is no way the youngest can be kept at the correct distancing, they wouldn't understand and whilst we can wash our hands regularly etc if they are carriers the spread will continue. Equally though, how will some go back to work if schools aren't back, will employers be flexible to cover this aspect?
If they relax the stay at home message what does that really look like? We won't be going to pubs and restaurants, or cinemas so is there any point or difference?
I'm lucky that I live in a village and have a good garden, I don't feel particularly"locked down" I only really shopped once a week before but I guess the just popping to the shop for odds and ends is what has stopped so I'm perhaps slightly better organised. I rarely saw people on my road as they are older and generally keep themselves to themselves so again not much difference, I do want to have that option of just popping out to see a friend/family but am wary of how it will work, so many unknowns in all of this. My husband is in no rush to go back to the office, the hours traveling either end of the day is not something he has missed but he has said he misses the banter of the office.
Whatever is decided there will always be criticism, too early too late, should have done more etc
