Just curioius (too much time on my hands me thinks) do you leave it in the bag, plastic container, pot or what?

Hhaha empty quality street/roses tin...easy available after xmas! The parrot, hamster , rabbit piggies all have their own tin x

I leave it in the bag unless its enormous then put some into a ziplock for convenience. When I was using Gerty I had it in a tub so I could mix it about a bit easier before filling up the bowl.

Great idea wish I could eat things like that I'd have enoughn tins to supply the whole forum :))

I got a plastic storer from Asda - the kind you keep cereal in - infact my Mum when she was down poured herself a bowl with milk...! Great idea about the sweet tins though - could have saved myself a pound or so! Wow - a swing top bin - you must be feeding a lot of piggies!

I leave the GP and rat foods in there bags, my dogs have something similar to what sokel is talking about although they are made by advance and i could probably use them for piggy food;)

I keep the food in a large plastic tub altho i could do with a bigger one as it doesnt quite fit a 4kg bag.
Bunni has his owe cereal type box again should really invest in bigger!

I use a cereal storage tub too and bought mine for a £1 from the poundshop its really good. But as i bought a large sack it wont all fit in it so i have stored the rest under the stairs in the bag it came in, but ive made sure its tightly closed, until i need to refill.

I have a big plastic Tupperware box that I keep it in. Which reminds me I need new pellets soon D:<

i use old water butts (dried of course) and empty plastic bins. i buy the food in 2 x 25kg bags open at any one time (chinchilla and gp food) and after a terrible rat/mouse problem, we like to keep the food safe! we also use these containers to store hay, woodshavings and hay in.

I store mine in a plastic dustbin.

Just worth mentioning that whatever you use to store dry food in it should be completey empty before refilling otherwise any food constantly left in the bottom will lose all nutritional value.

Teresa x

The bag. Because they eat so little I should probably transfer it to an air tight container, but they get so excited by the rustling of the oxbow bag :). They totally know the difference between that and all other plastic bags, intelligent little things! I'll look for some big tupperware type thing that can fit the whole bag int it, I think...

I buy the big sacks of them so I transfer some into plastic tupperware in the pet food cupboard and the rest gets sealed and stored away until I need to top up the pot.

I have a plastic swing bin like tinso for in the shed, but I keep the sack (as I buy in bulk) in a plastic bin outside the shed and just top up the swing bin when needed.

I would put the plastic bin in the shed and just store it in there but the shed is a bit crowded with all the pigs in there.

With just having the one at the moment i just use a smallish lunchbox but when i had a herd i used a big storage tub from Wilkinsons ;)

I use a large container with a lid and put it in my kitchen cupboard

I use a big plastic box with an airtight lid. I like to mix their food, so even though they have pellets, they get a choice of either eating science selective, burgess or wagg! Means if there's a shortage of one for a while we wont be stuck. I also mix in some natruals mixes sometimes, you know the one with dried veggies and herbs?

I use those airtight cereal storers too! I bought them when I bought my own house thinking "these will come in handy" forgetting both me and paul don't eat cereal :)) Anyway they have now come in very handy! :))
