I would stick with the versele. The ingredients are much better

Given the fact the second ingredient in the pets at home nuggets is alfalfa (Lucerne being it’s other name), that alone would put me off (alfalfa being a legume (not a grass), high calcium and not recommended). Otherwise there are a lot of fillers in them that I tend to try to avoid.

I've been giving my two Pets at Home nuggets for months and they seemed happy with them. Then P@H decided to change them and last week I bought a bag of the new ones (as above) and Toffee and Biscuit wouldn't touch them! So I binned that bag and I've switched back to Burgess Excel with mint which I used to buy before, and they seem to be loving them.

Mine are on burgess blackcurrant and they all love them, didn’t like the mint ones

Wheat, Alfalfa, Sunflower seeds... those P@H nuggets arent really suitable for guinea pigs I'm afraid

Also peas, beans, linseed- not things piggies should eat- this is more suited to hamsters I think!

The things you listed: peas, beans and linseeds are actually in most guinea pig foods. For example, science selective grain free and burgess excel. Here’s the ingredients for both:

What nuggets do you feed, if you don’t mind me asking?

Yes they are in most nuggets - a lot of them are used as fillers to bulk them out cheaply rather than actually being good for piggies. This is why pellets, no matter what type you use, should always be fed very sparingly.

I use Haybox own pellets - they are cold pressed and made just from a variety of grasses. My piggies only get pellets a few times a week though (not every day) and instead they get forage
