hi my sons primary school is having a pet show at there summer fair
which is next friday 3.30-5.30 and they are having a pet show
small pets have to be taken to the main hall by 3.30 for judging
my son wants to enter his guinea pig but i am in two minds as there will be a lot of noise and i am worried it will stress the guinea pig forum members opinions greatfully recieved please

I personally wouldn't want to put a piggy on show in a situation like that - like you say it will be busy and noisy and not everyone there will even think about the stress imposed on the animals. I think it will be nice for the children and awful for any of the animals - but that is just my opinion :)

I'm of the same opinion - nice for the kids, but very stressful for the animals!

Another possible effect is that it may "encourage" the casual buying of a pig.

Sounds like it could be noisy and stressful I wouldn't chance it. I know some people take animals to school to educate and I am fine with this, would love to do it with my pigs but that is in a controlled and quieter environment.

I think it would be too much for the pigs. x

I prefer not to mix pigs and small children unless I have firm hold of the pig at all times! Unlikely in a school pet show.
