Every evening i enjoy separate lap time with each of my two piggies and give them fresh veg snacks. Wilf, one of my piggies allows me to stroke his back and behind his ears, and after his snacks he climbs up and sits on my shoulder. The last 2 evenings he has started licking my chin. Can anyone explain to me if this behaviour has a meaning?

He is most likely giving you piggy kisses. Licking around the eye is a sign of affection; he gets as close as he can.

Awww piggy kisses. How fabulous. Only one of my current herd is a kisser. I love it!

Thanks Tiamolly, He's just given me another piggy kiss! Makes a bad day so much better

Some pigs give 'kisses,' either because they enjoy the taste of your skin or as a grooming or affectionate behavior. Guinea pigs will groom each other to show the group bond, so he likely considers you one of his herd!
