Hello!

My baby Milton has been making this ‘Tss’ sound ever since I got him a couple weeks back. I keep looking up sneeze sounds online and it doesn’t seem to be a sneeze. I found one video however, can’t find it again, that had this noise and said something about him being annoyed possibly telling the other piggie to go away? Just curious if anyone has ever heard this. It’s just a short ‘tss’ sound, I know that’s not a whole lot of info, but it’s all I can run off of :hmm:

One of my boys sometimes makes this hissing sort of noise when he's showing everyone who's boss. Keep an eye on them as it is an annoyed noise.

Okay thank you! I’ve been trying so hard to figure out what it meant... they seem to get along great, they cuddle at night, and popcorn lots, but they’ll get a little annoyed when they’re eating and they both want food, or they’re just too close. They’ve only been together close to 2 weeks, do you think this will die down?

My last guinea pigs use to have a face off were they would huff at each other. Kind of a fast exhale like when you are trying to clear your nose. Sound similar?

I noticed my boar does this when he has been seriously digging in his hay. He’s done it much less since I switched to fleeces as well. I think he is trying to clear his nose. He’s pretty dominant and isn’t afraid to show when he’s annoyed and it doesn’t seem to be that.
