So after feeling a bit put out by the Hay Box delivery charge and price changes, I've voted with my feet for a bit and have been trying other options.

So far we've had Timothy and Orchard from Healthy Herby. Spud likes the Orchard, Dash isn't as keen but will begrudgingly nibble if he thinks there isn't anything else worth having. Both like the Timothy but as usual they leave the stalky bits. Piggy slave likes the box size very much and the ethos of the company.

I also tried Ings from Hay and Straw. Big hit. Lots of burrowing and munching. I did find quite a few twigs in it but I was able to pull them out before they went in the cage so not a big problem. Not so keen on the bag storage but I'm saving the Healthy Herby boxes to use instead so problem solved.

I'm pondering what my next order should be. I've got a good amount of the Ings left but am pretty low on the other stuff.

Has anyone had the second cut Timothy or the Timothy blend from Healthy Herby yet? Or does anyone have any recent feedback on the Timothy and Rye or Meadow hay from Hay and Straw please?

Havent tried any of those. We like the soft hay from dust free hay co and timothy hay i usually get oxbow timothy online.

That has been fabulous quality of late but some years it isnt as good.

Alfafa kings timothy hay from pets at home is another good one. Consistantly good; have never had a dud batch
