What is best for Floortime

What is best to use for floortime - Newspaper, Fleece or can the piggies just go on tiles or wood?

I just lay old towels down on top of the Lino, I use them several times before chucking them in the washing machine.

I throw some fleece blankets on the tiles and in the carpeted areas we use a shower curtain with fleece on top of it.
