Hello,
I just found out today that my guinea pig has a weird bump like thing on her back and I have no idea what it could be. I'm planning on bringing her into the vets as soon as possible. If this could possibly be contagious or what not, then what should I do with their living situation? My two guinea pigs live together in a 2x6, but thee are no bumps like this on my other guinea pig so I assume it's not contagious.

Thanks so much

Could it be a sebaceous cyst? A friend's piggie had something similar to this. It was nothing serious apparently, he was treated with some warm compresses.

Please see a vet during regular hours. It looks like a burst cyst to me. It is not an emergency, but it will need attending and/or removing.

Thanks everyone, she's got a vet appointment in for this week and i'm keeping a close eye on her.
