I just caught my older more dominant sow Nutmeg licking behind the ears of the younger one Baby. It was so sweet :love::love: but I haven't seen her do that since the first minute they were introduced to each other. Is it a dominance thing? They sounded a bit like they were having a tiff, just a lot of muttering at each other they never do much more than that. I think Nutmeg gets annoyed because Baby follows her around like a puppy and she just loves to sniff her bum which I imagine gets a bit annoying! They still surprise me these two :luv:

Just to clarify Baby is pretty much grown up now (!) and they've known each other for about 8 months.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it! I know Nutmeg loves Baby really but she usually acts so indifferent towards her and doesn't like her getting too close, she likes her space. I just did a bit of reading on the sow behaviour thread and it sounds like maybe Baby is in season. They have just had a couple of face-offs which I've never seen them do before so maybe Nutmeg was just trying to make friends again, little cuties :luv:
