Hi everyone

well we bathed all our girls today and clipped there nails...when we got to jasmines nails, we noticed this unusual growth...can someone tell us what this could be and if it requires medical attention please or if this is normal for piggis?
I cant say I have this noticed this before, and none of the other piggis have it.

We also managed to get some photos of poor little willows stitches...she is healing nicely, starting to scab and her hair is growing back...thought I would share those photos as I promised earlier.

Happy Sunday everyone! it is a beautiful sunny day here, snow has melted and the birds are already migrating...spring is in the air!

Wow, Willow is healing beautifully well! Glad to hear she is getting better :)

It's a foot spur- some pigs just get them, like a thick callus. Living in the same enclosure, one of my pigs gets them and the other doesn't! You can clip them back if they are causing problems, but if not they will be okay if left alone. And that wound looks like it's healing well!

hi freela how much would we trim?

You can trim a little bit off the end, make sure not to go too close to the living part of the skin on the foot though. They are fine if left though, just make sure they don't get too long as to be uncomfortable for the piggy. Glad to see Willow is healing so well, they are big stitches ! :)

thank you everyone for your great advice and good wishes for our little willow...she is an amazing little piggi and we are blessed that she is recovering so beautifully x
