Hello guys
Hope you ok I’ve just been to a market lol
Not the piggie song this little piggie went to market etc lol
I asked for some carrot 🥕 tops for me piggies and she put some these leaves in the bag

I think... those might be beetroot leaves?

Which I believe may be very high in calcium oxalate... a little is probably ok. I think that's what red chard is when it grows big, but the baby leaves are lower in calcium.

However my botanical knowledge is pretty rubbish so hopefully someone with an allotment and green fingers will pop on and confirm!
 
They are either beetroot or chard, I would give the small ones to the piggies and then tell them they have had enough! Not big enough for rhubarb leaves.
 
No, definitely not rhubarb leaves - they look different and it's entirely the wrong season for selling rhubarb in the market.

I agree - beetroot.
I guess I'm used to seeing rhubarb year round at my local grocery store! Not sure where it is grown, but it is always there.
