Hello everyone I recently moved to a new house and I want to upgrade my Guinea pigs cage. And I have a tarp that I use to put under all the fleece and towels for my old cage but it's not big enough for my new cage. What do you guys use to put under all of the fleece and the towels?
Any information would be great!
Thanks! 😊👍

Some people use a shower curtain, others use puppy pads. I have an outside hutch and was using old papers. Have just discovered how great puppy pads are! It is SOOOOO much easier cleaning them out now! I shall have to go across to the other side of town to get some from B&M.

I use plastic table cloth (oil cloth?). A lot of places sell it by the meter, so you can just get it cut to the size you want.

Hi, I use papers underneath and have not tried puppy pads as I was worried it would create even more waste each week for me to dispose of. Just interested in your view on why they are so much better as I’m always looking for a better way? :)

Wee doesn't go through them and it is so much easier to roll up the hay that I use as bedding and stuff in bin bags:). Also I no longer have horrible wee soaked newspaper :vom: to get rid of.

Ah ha so it’s not all wet underneath and sticking to Lino!
Ok I’m gonna give it a go, thanks :)

Certainly isn't! Apparently cheapest place is BM Bargains 100 for £12.99 or something like that. Try and get the unscented ones. I got a few for the hospital cage and decided to use them up in the hutch. I'll have to go across town next week to get some more!

Thank you for all the information! I will definitely try puppy pads!

For me, puppy pee pad on the very bottom, fleece lining on top then, fleece pee pad on high traffic areas on the very top.

We use, vinyl table cloth from Dunhelm, towels then fleece on top
