Hello, I am new to this site and I've joined for advice. My female guinea pig has given birth for the first time today. She's with her sister and they've always been housed together. It appears that she has stopped the birthing process and I think she still has a baby inside. I am not sure if I should separate her with the baby, or leave her with her sister for support and comfort. I am not sure if I should do anything with her to encourage the other birth. It has been 2 hours from the first pup. She does not appear to be distressed. She's walking around tending to the baby. Maybe there isn't any more and she just feels like there is another one?

Thank you. I've been nursing the mum and she's quite happy with cuddling and eating carrot, so I think that maybe she's just very extended - though she still feels awfully lumpy! Will update if anything happens overnight. She's returned to her pup and other female companion now.
