wasn't sure where to put this please move it if it's in the wrong place.
well as some of you know i had my little cousins guinea pig for a few days. and the basic story is he already had a pig called Jack and wanted company his parents let him choose a piggy unfortunately she was female. i have since lost both mummy piggy and babies due to complications.
my question is how do i stop it happening again as they are already talking about replacing the poor little mite? i have suggested they try the local centre and also said that it would be best to get jack neutered before they get another female. thay said it's ok we'll get a male but as they have already sold there spare cage have no idea where they'll put new piggy if the bonding process should fail?
they are family but i am considering reporting them to the SSPCA as i feel that leaving a 5 year old in charge of piggies is irresponsible and they just won't listen to me.
any ideas on wat else to try as i really want the SSPCA to be a last resort.
thank you
