What veggies do you guys feed your piggies regularly?
Mine love kale, cucumber, pepper and parsley. Looking for some different veggies to give them a bit more variation in their diet that can be fed more regularly!
Thank you! :)

Kale and parsley shouldn’t be fed too regularly. They’re high in something but I can never remember what! Mine have lettuce (one leaf a day), cucumber, pepper, green bean, celery and coriander. Sometimes I mix it up by buying a salad mix, and occasionally give them a carrot top or a small slice of carrot. And if I get a pack of parsley it does last a while.

I rarely feed them anything outside what I’ve listed above.

Kale and parsley are high in calcium and should only be feed in small quantities as an occasional treat. Have a read through the diet guide here Diet Guides

Yes it’s so hard to find what should be staple veggies for their diet as a lot of veggies can spoil so quickly! I’ve now drawn out a rough plan for each day so that I’m not over feeding certain veg!

Mine get romaine lettuce everyday. Herbs they like to eat regularly are basil, parsley, cilantro, mint, and dandelion. I give one or two herbs along with their romaine lettuce. Some other veggies they get often are cucumber, carrot, and celery. Fruits are given with care due to its high sugar content so not very often.

My piggies get: pepper (I buy a different color every time), cucumber, green or red leaf lettuce and/or spring mix (without the spinach), green beans and cilantro. My piggies also love eating Fennel - you could try this veggie, too.

Occasionally, I will give them either: Carrots, Parsley, Dill, Kale and Watermelon

I know this isn't a veggie - but, if you're looking for something else to feed your piggies - you could cut them fresh outside grass. As long as you're 100% certain that no other animals have urinated on it and there are no chemicals sprayed.

Mine get mixed salad leaves (no iceberg!) mainly. I also give them fennel, mint, parsnip, apple and cucumber as well as other things. Their favourite thing of all time is dandelion leaves. Occasionally I'll give mine oven dried apple as a treat! (one hour at 90°)

Mine love romaine lettuce, kale (not every day), coriander, bell peppers (red/yellow and orange are their faves), spinach, cucumber, mint, carrots.. we don't have a garden so I haven't given them fresh grass yet as I need to be sure it's clean grass. Once a week I give them slices of apple as they love that.

Thanks for all the lovely ideas! I’ve just potted some grass seed this morning so going to give the grass a try too! I’ll let you know how I get on! 😂
