Hey all.

I noticed one of our pigs has got a bit of a crusty growth on one of her feet. She had had enough by the time I got a photo of this one so I couldnt inspect the other.

Any suggestions?

We use Aubiose in the cage and I have been wondering if it may be too tough on their feet.

Hi!

This is the beginning of a harmless foot spur. About one quarter of all guinea pigs develop them. They are just dead skin. Please leave any be that are not causing problems or an acute risk of catching somewhere and ripping live skin open. For the same reason you should not cut too close to live skin; it can cripple the foot. If in doubt, ask a good vet but if you can, just leave a spur be. ;)
