I'm in the process of bonding Meg and Squirrel with the new girl Jolene. Everything was going great and i gave them a bath together as advised. Squirrel seemed to look after Jolene and Jolene followed her everywhere. Whereas Meg didnt seem interested in the slightest and wanted to play with me more than anything else. Well they have now gone into the same cage together (totally cleaned out) and squirrel seems to be bullying her. Jolene was going into the house compartment with them and Squirrel kept bashing her and making her squeal. Now Jolene is in the open bit on her own while Meg and Squirrel are eating hay together in the house compartment. What should i do? I'm sat here watching eagerly just incase but Jolene now seems to scared to go near them and is just being nosey around the cage.
Should i block the house compartment off so they all have to stay in the open bit to get to know eachother or just let them stay separate if they want? dont know what to do next.
Any advice would be great.
thanks

I had a problem with two of my girls especially when they were in the house together. So I bought them a house each and they are all happy now! :))

You could try blocking the house.

I highly recommend putting in another igloo, sows can be highly strung and one of mine owns an igloo that any other pig is forcibly removed from when she's in a stroppy mood and wants to be alone. Try putting food and hay etc in a central location away from hiding places so that they can get to know each other over dinner

i wouldnt suggest blocking the house - its there for them to escape to when nervous - having this blocked could aggravate the piggies and they could end up fighting. They will eventually come around, you just need to give them some time.

I would suggest equal numbers of everything too, so again, another couple of houses would probably help.

they dont have houses ive converted a run into a cage. Like this

But i have a spare Igloo i can also add if you think that will help?

I cant see pictures at work Chez - igloos, snuggle tunnels, beds, anything like that is what i mean, tubes etc, so they have equal amounts, i have this with my piggies and its created less friction.

put in the igloo and see what happens.

no probs, anythign else, just let us know, we shall see if we can help! :)
