Whats the difference between long strand and short strand hay? My guinea pigs prefer long strand but I was wondering which ones healthier, which one is cheaper ect. We have only fed them long strand before so I dont know

I would say long strands are better to keep their teeth from overgrowing as it helps grind the teeth down.

I've heard that the longer the strands, the better the quality.
