Before I knew my two boys were actually one boy and one girl they were living together. Their hutch was a two storey, the bottom was a living area and the top part has a private bedroom etc, sure you know the ones I mean, there is a ladder to the downstairs bit. Anyhow when my female had babies I went and bought another hutch to seperate them. The hutch I bought is an identical layout to the previous one only its quite a bit bigger. I moved dad into the bigger hutch and he now lives with his son and mum is living in their original hutch with her daughter. Trouble is, since the day I moved him he has not once (to my knowledge) ventured downstairs. At first I thought he was just lonely and didnt really know what was happening to him but he has been in there a while now and still wont go downstairs even though he did in the old hutch. Tonight I put him downstairs and left him there and when I check him an hour later he was still downstairs, I tried to help him by putting him halfway on the ladder so he knows that there is a ladder there and although he did go back up the other half he hasnt ventured down there again. Why wont he go down there??
Nicky xx PS: The baby dont go down there either yet he did in the old cage too!
