Sudoku and Cheeky did loud wheeking for their breakfast veggies and grass!
Once I got over the shock of them not running away and being grumpy, I was very pleased.:)
The first bit of more relaxed behaviour from the little boys - phew....:))

Now just need my fleecy, ramp tunnel and co-ordinating snuggle sacs - a phrase that I never thought I would know or use!:)

Just have these two pictures of the boys so far - they are not too keen on the camera...:) Sudoku is the black and white one, Cheeky is more brown

Do you have a few g pigs?

Oooooooooooo they are so cute! Its brill when they wheek, my baby does it and it never ceases to make me smile and feel all warm inside. It's just so blooming cute:(|) I read somewhere that wheeking is reserved for humans attention only! I dont know if it's true but i like to think so.

Is that what wheeking means?

Last night I went out in the garden when I got home, like I usually do. But for once walked past the guinea pig hutch to deal with a toppled tomato plant.

I heard this loud wheeking noise and turned round to see both boys, their faces pushed against the bars making this loud noise!

I get this every morning when I deliver breakfast to my little fella. :)

Hehe, isn't it brilliant when they wheek! Dottie actually sounds like she is screaming at me these days rolleyes

Their hearing is so good that when I start picking some long grass for them they now start wheeking away - even when I am across the garden...

They are v unimpressed if I am actually weeding and it is not for them:)

They still won't let me pick them up though without major panic so they are not letting me relax into piggy parenting quite yet:)

Mine goes mental when he hears a plastic bag being rustled as he knows it holds fresh red lettuce, his favourite. :))

Am I the only person who finds wheeking the most annoying sound ever?! Don't get me wrong, I love my piggies to bits, but I don't appreciate it when they make my ears bleed with their shrill squealing. Haha.
I do love their quieter sounds though!

Btw, Soduko and Cheeky are cuuuuute :D

You get to know and understand their little noises - I have 10 piggies in my lounge and love to listen to them chattering together etc.
Gets very noisy when they know it's feeding time though as when one starts, they all join in a chorus of wheeks that just get louder rolleyes
